If you think your 10K rounds of M855 or M193 will save you from a hoard of zombies, a coven of vampires, or werewolves, you got another thing coming. The laws of physics are not the same when dealing with the supernatural.
First off, using anything supersonic will just get your brains eaten. Noise attracts monsters like crazy. Suppressed or not, stick with subsonic as primary ammo because monster engagements typically occur at 50 yds or less.
The big question is AR or shotgun. Each has their merits, but the SG wins hands down on everything but noise management.
This is going to make load development interesting… the ultimate anti monster ammo spec. A suppressed SBR is the ideal platform for this. Wooden (Hawthorn or white oak) tracer bullets coated with garlic infused bacon grease for lube, with a sterling silver penetrator. And, to top it off, a UV WML. That should handle ALL the monsters. Vamps, zombies, witches, shape shifters, mummies, werewolves, lycanthropes and lesser demons.
If ya wanna go the scatter gun rout, flechettes made of ash, infused with garlic-bacon grease, and sterling silver tips, sub sonic, and loaded with a slow powder to set mummies on fire with muzzle blast. Gonna make a couple and send to Taofladermouse. Also, good idea to keep a few dragon’s breath in the shell holder. Dragon’s Breath is great for a hoard of zombies or mummies for area effect. It will vaporize a coven of vamps in a photon bath of 50k+ lumens of intense UV light produced by the magnesium. But don’t go wasting a Dragon’s Breath on a single vamp, the 3k lumen UV WML will vaporize them silently… well, except for the vampire’s screams.
Frankenstein’s monsters, you can just shoot regular. By all means, bust out the milsurp.
