Hey folks I could use your help. I haven’t really had time to look for deals on Amazon so I was trying to automate finding sales on shooting related gear using their API. I couldn’t get it to work and then found out I don’t have access unless I have at least 10 qualifying sales (whatever that means) in the last 30 days.
If you are looking to purchase something on Amazon, you do not need to purchase any item linked here, but clicking an Amazon link on this site first to start your shopping at Amazon might help towards us getting API access. Found a good deal on Amazon? Please share below.
Once we get access I’ll put up a page that get’s updated daily with the latest deals.
Here’s one to start:
OLIGHT IMINI 2 Rechargeable EDC Keychain Mini Flashlight Dream Blue - 30% Off (only this color) (looks green to me)
(Amazon links may generate an affiliate commission for this forum, but there’s no difference in price for the purchaser)
I don’t buy a lot of shooting gear off Amazon, can I suggest posting items not related that you have found to be exceptional?
The one thing I do buy often are these paper targets.
I have found these to be a game changer for my old tired eyes, the blue makes the target really stand out, the link is to the store with several different designs.
Amazon tip: In the search bar type “daily deals” before the search term. eg Daily Deals shooting supplies or Daily deals red dots, and you will get Amazons picks for the day.
6 items ordered so far… No idea yet how it breaks down into ‘sales’ for Amazon. But it seems like a good start for the month. Guess I’ll find out when I try the API again in a couple weeks.
If any of you are into audio books, Amazon runs a free 30-day trial for Audible: Audible Membership Plans and Pricing | Amazon.com
We get something if you end up keep the subscription and it counts towards ‘sales’
Reminder: You don’t need to purchase the item you click on here, but starting your Amazon shopping from a link here does help. It can earn us a commission and helps us get API access.
Still not eligible says 13 items shipped but no idea how that might break down into ‘qualified sales’ Need 10 to become eligible for the API access.
Share whatever you find for great deals and it doesn’t need to be firearms related. I don’t care if it’s toilet paper or whatever. Just want to get access to see if we can uncover any deals we might otherwise miss. There’s a Prime Day(s) coming up so if shopping on there kindly click and Amazon link here first to start your shopping.
I finally got a response from support and they said I’m currently at 8 qualifying sales. Need 2 more for the previous 30 days to unlock API access. Doesn’t go by item count but for my access it doesn’t show the sales details so I have no way to tell. I only see # of items ordered/shipped.
So please continue to share your finds.
Found these individually wrapped lead wipes on sale:
Hey folks, Prime Days deals are happening. Please share your deal finds. I’ve been a bit busy so really no time to search around but my favorite mini flashlight is 40% off ($11.99)
Edit: I believe you need to be a Prime member for this deal. If not a Prime member you can join here or start a free trial if you scroll to the bottom of the page: Amazon.com: Amazon Prime
