Anyone here installed ( or had installed) an AK replacement trigger. I have been looking at Geissele’s. Anyone have a set up like this?
If it’s a Geissele, it’s better than what you have now. Even the low end Geissele triggers I’ve used in ARs are superior to any stock trigger I’ve ever had. It’s not apples to apples, but Geissele makes good shit.
Thanks. I have been going back and forth on whether to try an install myself, or have it done by a gunsmith.
Have u look at any YouTuve vids. I doubt it’s terribly difficult. The AK was designed so that any Russian drunkard could field strip and service his weapon.
They are an easy install, YouTube has some great vids, most important is to secure the trigger spring, if that bad boy slips it’s a bad day for a finger. I went with this trigger.

Big upgrade from a stock AK trigger, mine was a straight drop in, the only thing you need to look at is the rivet under the trigger, it may stick up a hair to far and the trigger will slap on it, a couple of strokes with a file and problem solved, I had clearance so no filing.
If you can follow a video, you can install an AK trigger.
I have the same trigger - just have yet to install it. Next time i have a little time I’ll probably do it.
What kind of AK? Only reason I ask is the Geissele’s aren’t really recommended for Yugo pattern rifles without some serious modification.
It is a Romanian SAR1.
Should be more or less a drop in part for a proper soviet pattern rifle which I believe the SAR1 is. It’s a great trigger and installation is fairly straight forward.

Long ago I installed a Tapco G2 Trigger Group on my Saiga AK47. Woks great - feels good. The factory trigger was breaking my damn finger!!
