I had an old High Standard .22 that was basically a 1911a1 trainer and in a moment of weakness I let it go. For a beginner shooter the Walther PPQ is a great option.

Shot High Standards (Supermatic Citations) when I was on the college pistol team years and years (and years) ago.
Awesome target pistols. After graduation I bought (and eventually shot-out) a S&W Model 41, but I always wanted a High Standard.
There is one for sale on here, and for less money than I will be asking for mine. I would jump all over that deal if it’s a gun you are interested in.
Taurus TX22 with a Red dot is a really fun, cheap to shoot and accurate pistol.
There are a lot of suggestions, which one are you referring to. I’ll check the WTS section, tks
There is a GSG 1911 for sale in the marketplace, great price for what’s included. If I was in the market for that gun I would grab it. I already have one I don’t use so I won’t be buying another one. I will eventually list mine for sale.
@Jallipo I am the seller of the GSG 1911 listed in marketplace. If you are interested, I can reduce the number of extra accessories to reduce the overall cost if that would be helpful. Reach out and let me know if interested.
Thank you but I ended up purchasing a rifle instead.
Agree. TX22 very reliable with almost any ammo. With a red dot, fun to shoot.
My M&P 22 is great pistol to introduce new shooters into the sport. It has the same ergonomics as the 9mm versions.
What are your thoughts on the Walther PPQ 22? I’m thinking about buying one? I want something reliable that will not be picky with ammo
I love mine. Great, reliable and fun to shoot!
