2025 9mm gun of the year?

Currently on my 7th week of waiting on permits from my local PD and have been reading/watching numerous reviews on what’s gaining the attention of enthusiasts and “experts” from around the country.

I couldn’t help but notice the rave reviews of the Canik MC9 Prime. Seems as the majority of opinions say this firearm has the best “out of the box” performance with a crisp trigger and great ergos.

Wondering if anyone has shot this and what are your thoughts on CC with the prime? Currently have a p365 I carry appendix, and wanted something that’s just as comfortable and doesn’t print like my current setup.

Also curious if anyone can draw comparisons to the shield plus PC, cc9 or even 43x? Or if someone has any other recommendations on what to try for cc.

Planning on renting one (or a few) out on my next range trip, but always interested to hear some opinions.

Welcome Zabuca, can you let us know what town?

I also carry a p365 and very happy with it though I’m considering a 43x I seen used for sale or possibly a Taurus GX4 carry. A buddy has the Taurus and I find I like the trigger on that. Similar size to the 365.

Hi. I’m in Weehawken. Normally the turnaround isn’t too bad. I haven’t reached out to my contacts as I can still benefit from research and testing the newer firearms that have become available since the last time I purchased one.

I’ve shot the 43x many times and with different modifications. Partial to the idea of owning one, will have to eliminate other options before going with the ‘ol reliable Glock.

You’ve got the P365 original size, or is it an X/XL/X-Macro? The grip size is key when you’re considering these.

You’re looking at a real size difference between your current P365 and the Mete MC9 Prime. Even with the P365 X, the grip size on the MC9 will be a lot longer, which will effect comfort/concealment. I own a P365 XMacro (and switch to the XL grip sometimes) as well as a G48 and with a proper holster, they’re relatively comfortable appendix, but with my body shape the grip can print if I’m not careful… but not too worried about it.

If you want to keep with the same approximate size, I would take a look at the HK CC9. I’ve shot it at SHOT Show and was suitably impressed. I was gonna get it with my last bonus but then the shop had the 2011 I wanted.

I also have a XL lower on a standard slide. I’ve only ever carried the p365, so I’m a little wary going out of my comfort zone.

I thought about going with a 2011, but no way I can carry one. I sweat.. a lot, which has caused some rusting on the left side on my p365- most noticeable in the back pin and the barrel. Now I wipe it down and throw a little oil on to keep things neutral. Ive also experienced scratches on the back of my firearm, which I’m fine with, however wouldn’t be the case if it was a stacatto cs.

Yeah I probably wouldn’t carry a Staccato CS - picked up a Kimber 2K11 and I’m loving it but that’s a full size 5”.

The HK CC9 is shorter barrel/slide but about the same grip size as the P365 XL. I may pick one up soon unless something really nice comes out at SHOT Show in January that I’ll want.

I have my 365X Macro with Wilson Combat grip. Fits my hand great. Just picked up a Springfield TRP Carry 9mm. Little heavier, but excellent carry gun.

I like that the cc9 has a FCU. Making things a little easier to switch things up in the case of extended wait times to acquire permits. In think Reloaderz should have one to rent out.
