2011's

So I posted not long ago as a warning “don’t shoot the Kimber 2k11”. So I got obsessed with DS 1911’s and have spent WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too much time and mind space on this platform. So I had things I had to weigh out 1 selling some guitars to get one, or simply find something budget friendly that people review. Again waaaay too much time and mind space!

So my brother-in-law and I goto the range alot, and we both are just really looking to improve our shooting and train in a comp style with out competing. (I don’t have enough time I teach Jiu JItsu everyday)..

So, obviously the Staccato is always top notch, the Kimber obviously, then you start diving deep and I learn about all of these other brands that are 4k and up.. but wth I can’t do that!!! So I hear about and research on the Fusion Pro Comp, the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus, Springfield Prodigy, LFA Apollo 11 … then I kept seeing the “Trukatto” popping up , the MAC 9 DS-D Comp 5”. With a few $$$’s it goes from a budget to a Stacatto killer. Trust me I went back and forth and back and forth and said F it do it! OOHHHHHHH wait then you find that Capital Rifle CO does a “tuning” model and a Big Mac version jumping jesus on a pogo stick!!! So I just went to my guy my local shop here in Marlton and say bro just get the Mac for me. Sadly as is the case for us Constitution lovers this FN State makes us wait and wait for a GD permit sure I should have done it earlier but well I screwed the pooch as I impatiently wait.. Oh no worries, I bout an ignition kit from EGW and my guy threw it in for me, should get me to a sub 3lb pull, oh and then find a decent deal (thank you Veterans discount) on a Red Dirt Trigger... that comes in today or tomorrow.

So there is a list of mod’s to do to this thing, and Ill do them as I see it needs it right now I just want to blow some holes through some paper
Next up my continued OCD with an Optic.. this OCD will not stop! lol

Nice looking pistol. Definitely go with a closed emitter on a 5”. And what guitars are you selling

Hahahaha well I have about 14 so I’d start cheap ones first and keep the Goldtop and SRV strat for last lol

Looking at the Holosun 507 comp or maybe get a cheap one and try it out Osight C ..

14 damn! I’m not that great of a player but, always looking for a fair price on a strat.

I always liked the look of a more square rd on the 1911”s frame. Check out the 509T. Need a plate and suppressor height sights though. I just posted this in reply to another question

Nice. What store in marlton? Is it the one in the same shopping center as family jewelers and produce junction?

I’m in marlton as well.

Yeah man I teach Jiu Jitsu 2 doors down and he’s been great to me F’s a great fn dude. He ordered it Friday had it Monday easy peasy, just need my GD permit to go through. I bought an ignition kit through EGW (across the bridge in Quackertown) main spring, sear spring and recoil spring $16 and a Red Dirt Trigger to be installed shortly maybe by me i like to tinker. Should get me to a sub 3lb pull

Once you add all the fees together if you get it from somewhere else it’s the same going through him. Great shop great people too the hole staff are great. MAC 9 DS-D COMP 5” they have a 4.25 as well, but I wanted the larger platform.

Cool. I’ll have to check it out. I don’t “need” anything at the moment but like to support local businesses.

As far as the 1911 platform (haven’t gone the 2011 route yet) I’m still on the first floor. Lol. I got a couple but nothing in the $1k+ categories. Lol. 2nd kid about to start college this fall so my penny jar is watched closely. Lol.

Yeah basically the 2011 is just a double stack 1911.. I save my nickels and dimes when I do private lesson’s and stuff. I don’t hit the family dollar, it’s side stuff and if I need to use it for the family it goes there first. The MAC 9 is pretty much the cheapest 2011 based on the Staccato. MAC is an american company that partners with a Turkish company for the parts, whats cool is when people do the reviews onYouTube they those “hit points” and look to fix them each revision.
