Reading that NJ just increased the NICS fee by ~$4. Looking to verify:
I posted this a few weeks ago. They sent out a dealers email and it said they were updating the NICS system and increasing the fee by $4. They didn’t increase the fee as of last week.

I paid $16 NICS on a handgun 8/12. Not sure when this goes into effect.

Why not upgrade the systems using the budget that is provided every year.

They said it was to automate the system to where it didn’t have to be done manually like they all currently are. NJ is actually not the most expensive NICS check surprisingly. Washington state is $33.

I wouldn’t mind the fee if they actually came back in a few minutes like it’s supposed to. This driving a half hour twice is a real pain in the ass.
Who am I kidding I’d still complain about the fee.

Picked up a Beretta Cheetah 80x in .380. Been having fun with the S&W Bodyguard 2.0 but was my one and only .380 so wanted something else in that.
Hope to get my first shots with that tomorrow, let ya know how it goes.
