Wireless Remote for Trap

I forgot that I left the remote for my thrower in a pouch that is zip tied to the trap cart and left it outside for like four months. Needless to say, it is FUBAR. Sooo, I went to the Do-All website and found the wireless remote kit, but no wireless remote by itself, bummer.

After doing some research, I found out that the Do-All remote kit is actually pretty generic, the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter that I buggered up is made by a company named Aoke, they seem to make a lot of OEM stuff for third parties.

The remote transmitter is based on the EV1527 chip, a 4 Bit Unique ID RF Encoder Chip, apparently a very common chip used in a multitude of devices from garage door openers, ceiling fans, security gates, lights, and just about everything that can be controlled with a keyfob remote.

The transmitter chip can be “paired” with receivers if the receiver has a “learn mode”.

Since I cannot find a replacement transmitter from Do-All, price can’t be compared but I’m sure it would be much more than the $7.99 that QIACHIP charges for one remote, But wait!, There’s MORE. A three remote pack is just $13.00, and if you want the remote and the receiver, you can pick that up for just under $13.00. They have several options for single and dual channel, and switch function (toggle or momentary).

So, if you have lost a remote, want an extra or want to add wireless remote to a trap, check it out on Amazon.

I rec’d the remotes yesterday, got a chance to mess with them today. It literally took 30 seconds to pair the remote to the receiver. Fortunately there was a button on the receiver to program it to the remote.

Super easy.

If you want to add wireless to your trap, you can easily do it with the tx/rx kit, but you will have to find the correct connector (the same as your trap’s foot peddle ) and do a little wiring.
