N.J. Governor Refuses DOJ Request on Voter Rolls
New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill said Tuesday that she will defy a Department of Justice request to provide information regarding noncitizens listed on the stateâs voter rolls.
âToday, I informed @AAGDhillon that New Jersey will not provide the personal information of thousands of New Jersey residents,â Sherrill wrote on X. âThe request had no legal basis, and I will always protect New Jerseyansâ personally identifiable information.â
Dhillon wrote on X that Sherrillâs decision does nothing to protect law-abiding New Jersey voters.

Yet, 75,000 illegals get called for jury duty each year, because theyâre put on the voter rolls when they get a license. Wonder how many of them voted?

About 75,000 noncitizens are summoned for jury duty in New Jersey each year, based on data from three state government agencies, including the Motor Vehicle Commission â a stunning figure that widens the scope of a growing controversy over government databases that may incorrectly identify noncitizens as eligible voters and jurors.
According to McAleer, the judiciary processes more than one million summonses annually for potential jury service and randomly selects records provided from the Division of Elections, the Division of Taxation, and the MVC.
Sherrillâs disclosure that the Motor Vehicles Commission is creating records of New Jersey residents and transmitting them to the judiciary and Statewide Voter Registration System that misidentify some residents as citizens will only enhance the current controversy.
The uproar over non-citizens being called for jury duty is a nothing burger. They are trying to make something out of nothing just because it is using one of the databases close to the actual issue.
When I was here on a green card, I received a number of jury summonses even though I was not a US citizen. That is because I did have a driverâs license.
For jury summonses, they pull from the tax records, MVC records and elections rolls. You can get a summons because you appear in one of those lists. You do not have to appear in all three. I always responded to the jury summons checking the box that said I was not a citizen and I didnât do jury duty. If non-citizens have sat on juries, that would be a problem, but it is unlikely as moat people seem to try to dodge that obligation. We donât have any numbers yet if any non-citizens did serve on a jury.
I have only been sent a jury summons once since getting my citizenship, and I never had to go to the court. I was stood down before getting that far.
When they passed the law that made voter registration automatic when you got your drivers license and then another law saying you did not have to show any proof of your legal presence in the country to get a drivers license, they opened the gate to getting illegal immigrants registered to vote.
Having 6600 people incorrectly on the voter roll is bad but should be OK so long as those 6600 people are honest and donât vote. At least 400 of them were not honest and did vote. That is a big issue.
I expect those reported numbers to grow, but that is what we have for now.
Wailing about 75,000 jury summonses is taking one issue and doing a âChicken Littleâ on it.
Just because you are honorable enough to abide by the rules doesnât mean everyone does. The system is screwed up and shouldnât even allow this to happen, but itâs likely by design.
Of the 75K jury summonses, how many sat on a jury or even attempted? If that number is greater than zero, Iâd have a problem with that.
I also think they are dragging this number around to expose the BS about only 400 illegals voting and the 6600 registered. As we suspected itâs likely 10 times as much. It should be 0. And where are the prosecutions? Are they prosecuting and deporting any of those 400 illegal voters?

The point of referencing the 75,000, is to show how many illegals were also registered to vote, since it was automatic when they got a license.. It wasnât a potential 6,600 illegals registered to vote, it was 10âs of thousands.
Now, the question is, how many of those 75,000 actually voted? I saw the data the other day, that over 400,000 illegals have licenses in the state (which means they were also registered to vote.
What if the majority of them voted?
The fact that Mikie came out and admitted that âsomeâ illegals voted, you know that number is a lot bigger.
Is that why Mikie refuses to work with the DOJ and provide voter rolls to them?
Fun fact, when Jack ran against Murphy in 2021, he lost by 84,000 votes. How many illegal votes helped Murphy win?
Then, in 2025, Jack lost to Mikie by 479,000 votes, which was a total abnormality, compared to all past elections in this state, and that was never explained.

Iâve really enjoyed voting here in Idaho, prior to 2024, Iâd not been able to vote here in decades.
Polling places have a LOT of signage, stating that in order to vote, you must present one of 4 acceptable forms of ID:
- Idaho Driversâs License or State Issued photo ID card
- US Passport
- Tribal ID Card
- Idaho Concealed Carry Permit
Donât have one of those with you? Youâre not getting a ballot.
Couple of caveats: yes, non-citizens can still get an Idaho driverâs license, but they must prove they are legally in the US. No licenses for the undocumented. The US Passport doesnât prove Idaho residency on visual inspection, though Iâm not sure what is coded in the chip.
Weâre constitutional carry here, but you can pick up a carry permit at the DMV if needed for reciprocity, or jump through a couple of extra hoops and get an Enhanced Carry Permit, which is needed to carry in Washington State. That one also allows you to skip the NICS check when buying a firearm, since one is done when the permit is issued.

Same way in Texas. They will check to see that your address matches your ID as well.

Idaho isnât the problem. Itâs places like NJ, CA, NY, IL, etc that are the problem. And theyâll never implement voter ID. Itâs a slap in the face to the good States and the American citizen.

New Jersey offers $20M in free legal services to noncitizens registered to vote
Thousands of noncitizens registered to vote in New Jersey have access to a $20 million legal defense fund whenever they want it.
It comes after the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission wrongfully allowed around 6,600 individuals to register to vote through a system error while applying for identification at the MVC between June 2023 and June 2024. Letters have been sent to each person affected by the system error. On Tuesday, the governor confirmed that at least 4,500 of them were noncitizens.
Sherrill says the state will protect those affected
Sherrill said the state wouldnât pursue criminal cases against the registered voters, calling it the âutmost hypocrisyâ during her July 21 presser announcing the scandal. The Democratic governor also said New Jersey would protect them from federal prosecution.
Remember: you donât hate NJ enough. The âSkip the Stuffâ law went into effect over plastic utensils and ketchup packets so when you order out you have to specifically ask for them now. Hopefully this will be ignored like the straw nonsense mostly is nowadays. As a form of protest I am going to increase my use of disposable plastic utensils.

Like I did when Smurfy outlawed plastic grocery bags. I ordered a case of 1,000 plastic bags from Amazon and I use them every day!
We do the same but I do miss them good 'ole days⊠when they used to ask if you wanted âpaper or plasticâ or both or even double bagged and had someone there doing that for you so you could watch whatâs going on at the register. We saved the paper for school book covers (guess thatâs no longer necessary) and the plastic for the dog piles, ya know, recycling
