Backups run automatically on a daily schedule. I keep a week on the server and download a monthly just in case of a disaster.

I’m probably teaching you to suck eggs, but have you done a test of the restore process?
Yes I have spun it up as a VM locally and ran a restore. I’ve done that 3 times so far on a quarterly schedule. You start from a fresh installation, copy over the backup and restore that data and site settings. No need to backup the entire server just the app so it’s very lightweight.
