The thing is, if they did fly them in stealth mode, and a pilot with a legitimate right to be flying hit one and crashed, how would the resulting publicity look? Of course, the entire program (whatever its purpose) appears to have been so poorly thought out and executed that it was bound to make the government look even more stupid than it typically does.
Not sure how true it is, but i saw a guy video where he thought he saw Drones landing in the distance. As he got closer to the building he realized there was a Boeing Facility pretty much exaclty where he saw them dissappear.
