NJSP Superintendent Patrick Callahan is retiring

Just announced by Murphy.

Colonel Callahan will retire effective Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

I wonder what political hack they will appoint to replace him.

Has to already be in the NJSP organization, no?

I don’t think so. “They” appointed a civilian years ago who took badge #1 and there was backlash. He wound up being appointed to the Trenton P.D. instead. Yeah, nothing wrong with that.

Oh, and FPM.

So “they” can just appoint someone with no previous ties to NJSP and that person will then wear the NJSP uniform?

I wonder if they will install a social worker.

You available???

Don’t worry no matter who is appointed they won’t be second amendment friendly.

NJ State Police chief Callahan retires after decades of service

Good riddance, this guy was a political hack. More than happy to enforce Murphy’s bs covid agenda.

Only a former trooper can be appointed to the title of colonel. Any other appointee will be the superintendent.

Have only heard 1 rumor so far.
