Need some guidance from the phone geeks on the site

First time I’ve ever bought a phone outside of a carrier trade in where I hand them the old phone, they wave a wand over it and the new one and whalaa ! done I walk out with a new phone with all my stuff.

Bought a Galaxy S25 Ultra
Have an S22+

Edit - we figured out the transfer stuff - now i need a case.

There is an app that will do it for you. When you power on your new phone, it will ask you if you want to copy your stuff from another phone. Follow the instructions and you’ll be fine.

You will need a USB cable to connect the phones together, but that comes with the new phone anyway. It will be USB-C to USB-C.

Have you looked at this app? It’s a Samsung app for Samsung phones. This might work for you.

Yup, way easier then I expected

Now I have to figure out how to use all this Ai stuff - it basically seems to run this phone

Or how to turn off all the AI BS.

Personally, I don’t want the contents of all my communications being sent back to Google to analyze and store.

They listen in on my crew they’ll just shake their heads and turn it off.

Now i need a case

Believe it or not , this is the first new smart phone I’ve ever had. Always bought the new phone for my son then taken his old one, which always had a case - so I’ve never been down this path before. WTH !! How many different choices can there be? How different is a $20 case from a $100 case ?

Want a case that can take a beating and is waterproof. Which one should I get ?

He said the Otterbox (no idea which one) or this

Otterbox are good, especially if you drop your phone a lot.

I have had good experiences with Spigen cases.

I like the flip open wallet cases. Been using this type of case for over 10 years, I’ve dropped my phone and carried it while doing landscaping and it came out unscathed every time. Dunno about water proofing though, never dropped it in water, but phones are inherently water resistant from the factory.

Just got back from Best Buy - went with the Otterbox Defender Pro, with a set of 3 screen protectors, camera lens protectors, and a charging pad
$124 (ouch !)

Otterbox FTW!

+1 On the Otter Box
