AUGUST 31, 2026 — THE WATCH DATE ARRIVED AND PASSED WITH NO DECISION. Both dockets were checked again today and RECAP still shows July 8, 2026 as the last known filing in each (the Koons 23-1900 docket record last refreshed August 14, the Siegel 23-2043 record August 26), and an August 31 press sweep again turned up no reported decision. That is now EIGHT FULL WEEKS of complete silence since the appeals became fully submitted, with no opinion and no order of any kind entered in either case. No decision date is set and none is promised — an en banc court can take many months, and the Third Circuit is plainly aware that the Supreme Court will address closely related questions in Viramontes and Grant this coming Term, which may itself explain the wait. This milestone is a WATCH DATE rather than a deadline, and it has accordingly been ROLLED FORWARD to the end of September 2026. Members should not read the delay as a signal either way: nothing about how long an en banc court deliberates predicts which side wins, and New Jersey’s sensitive-places restrictions remain in force in the meantime.

I hope they don’t make cemetery’s sensitive places cause I feel most of us will be there under our headstones before we hear anything from these friggin courts. the second amendment is still being treat as a restricted privilege instead of a right.
