I would be fine with it if they put in large print that their insurer requires the event to restrict CC. Be transparent otherwise I’ll have to assume to worst, that they’re just being a-holes for no apparent reason. ---

How recently? Because it’s still a “secret” to me. Haven’t seen it announced in any emails or any posted notices at the indoor range which I was just at last week. ---

Found the email. 06/20/26 it first came out, same as the effective date, and I didn’t read it. My searching on ‘PTC’ , ‘Permit’ and ‘Carry’ weren’t turning it up. ‘Hot Range’ brought it up. ---

Just a thought, they should disclose a reason. At least they’re doing something, Would never se this by me in Bergen County. Maybe they’re doing no carry so potential first timers don’t feel intimidated by others carrying around them. Also so only the instructors are handling the firearms so no chance of an accident. I’m hoping it’s just a safety concern.
