# Funny, but not funny

I had that happen to me! My 1st shotgun, a 12 gauge Remington Wingmaster, I was playing with it in the basement of my parent’s store. My grandfather had some old reloads so I dumped the shot and shot a few wads. One got stuck in the barrel so my 19 year old brain said, “fire a full shell to clear out the clog”! The gun shook violently for a split second then the barrel shredded about 5 inches from the receiver! I totally lost my hearing for about 4 hours but luckily, I was otherwise uninjured. lesson learned!!!
