I was a friends house he had just set up his “theater”. my draw dropped and my TBI went from the 30% I have now to about 89% lol this thing was immersive, impressive, and it was like I was actually in a rocket launch! That’s the goal.. now I like guns, guitars and a few other things a bit more lol I’m happy with my setup although I dream of one day having THE setup! lol
that sounds like what i want, but i don’t think i’ve got the budget for that. 'nother issue i’m running into i think is the age of my tv. it’s old.lg model um7370pua. i’m thinking i might need to be upgrading this too. fkn rabbit hole i’m going into it feels like, lololol. was thinking samsung, 'cause aunt and cousin both have them, and they’re great. the tv in the living room is a super old vizio 55"…and it’s still going strong, which had me looking at them too…
TV’s - I love my LG OLED, they make some amazing OLED’s.
You can get a really good Receiver for not a ton of $$. Speakers: Start going through FB marketplace research the speakers, I was going to go Kliipsch as I had an out of the box setup, but only kept the sub after I decided I needed more. I have older but still awesome Paradym floors and a Center channel that’s awesome I think that was $350, then the Klipsch multi angle for the rears. I have some other speakers I’ll add and I want a 2nd sub. You can do it at budget then upgrade as you go. You’ll start with great sound then as you add more you’ll get better and better; I want to be immersed! When I watch sports it’s awesome, music awesome and movies awesome lol
Same, 65" LG oled. My LR is kinda small at 15x14. I thought it might be to big but, worked out fine. Best buy has some good no interest financing.
I went with Costco with the 5 year warranty for my LG, my son in law was looking to put a tv in his basement, and I shared all of my research (i’m a total TV geek). We went and looked at a bunch and he saw the power of the OLED lol on a budget the the B4 has the same engine as the C4 in the 83" tv 
. Love it!

My home theater is a Kenwood, but too old to be of much use in making recommendations for what to get now.
My TVs are Samsung, starting with our first flat panel years ago. The recommendations then all pointed to Samsung, and we’re happy with the TV. So much so, that as we started adding a few more scattered around the house, we stuck with the brand…the reviews are still good, but my main thought was to stick with a single operating system, and remotes that were configured the same way.
No such luck on that point. The TVs are still good, but each succeeding generation is so different from the one before you’d never know you’re working with the same brand as you try to navigate the buttons and menus.
A common problem with most tech.
I will say that Yamaha has been pretty good with their APP. It has not changed much in the last 3 models I’ve had. The actual remotes however are a different story.
