Christmas is coming!

Owned two, sold them, won’t own another.
Been told you either like them or don’t.
Guess you figured what side I’m on.

Maybe rent one at a range before you buy.

I have a few Glocks that I mostly leave in the safe.

I won a certificate for a Ruger RXM at Area 8 this year. I’m still undecided whether to get the gun or sell the certificate.

I’ve shot a bunch of earlier generations and I was always on the fence about them. They’re ok but never found anything outrageously great about them. I have a few pistols I could say the same thing about so figuring what’s the difference. As @Redeye65 put it I feel like it’s time, especially with nothing else really calling me right now. The only thing that recently caught my eye, being attracted to shiny objects, was a used Anaconda at RTSP but they want too much for it and it’s all scratched up.

Figure if I get a Glock and I have a newbie that’s considering their first purchase I’ll have one for them to compare to other options. I’m sure the wife will complain but I’ll just tell her it’s my type of ART (Another Range Toy )

If you found the Glocks lacking or clunky because of their utilitarian design, the RxM Gluger might be the cure. better trigger, ergo, more bells and whistles. So, I’ve read on the Ruger forum.

Realistically speaking I’ve seen many generations of them break or fail. The GX4 impresses me and feels surprisingly good, but I remember the PT 24/7, the Millennium series, the 24/7 G2 series, the G3 series all having quality and reliability issues.

That said the only ones I was willing to own back in the day were their PT92 Beretta clones and their S&W wheelgun clones.

Nowadays the TX22 is highly regarded. But I still can’t shake the knowledge that I’ve had of their guns being garbage for the last 10+ years.

That was me… highly recommended if Glock is your future. Also keep in mind that RTSP does indoor GSSF matches (mostly at Randolph but occasionally Union as well). You can get simple competition in as a member as well.

That’s crazy

How wrong can you go for only $104 (plus transfer and NICS) ??

I admit I’m not familiar with this particular gun…but I suspect the answer is that you can indeed go wrong with a $104 12 gauge autoloader.
