The last four days jet fighters have been flying over my house in the TR area around 3-4 in the afternoon. I think they are F 18s loud and fast
I don’t see a TFR over Bedminster today; I think the president is elsewhere. But there are still a surprising number of TFR busts when it is active. In the first few months of his first term, there were over 130, as pilots hadn’t gotten used to getting a preflight briefing like they were supposed to… The Secret Service invited all the local pilots to a meeting that year to address the problem. It wasn’t a mandatory thing, but I went and found it very interesting. The Air Force fighters have a hard time slowing down enough to come alongside most light planes, so they started using Coast Guard choppers based at Somerset to get violators out of the area, scrambling the jets only if necessary.
I’ve been hearing them for the last couple of days but haven’t seen what it is yet. I was having a beer at Toms River Brewing today around 3 and they had the door and windows open, one came over so low that after it passed you could smell the jet fuel exhaust. I do see an F35 flying around in the Whiting, New Egypt, Lakehurst area fairly often so maybe it’s one of them.
I heard them too in the Silverton section of TR.

How far are you from the Warren Grove Weapons Range (It’s not far from Stafford Forge). Might have been doing practice over there. Other than that I’m not really sure other than they might be running an exercise.
The jets that are flying over are F 16s carrying a full weapons load out. I got a good look at one about a hour ago.

Yesterday two Blackhawks (in formation) flew over Eatontown. They didn’t seem to be in a hurry.
I saw an F16 this morning around 9 or 10 over Manchester flying North. About 20 minutes later it came back through the same area but flying south. Didn’t get a good enough look to see if it had any weapons on it. I see F16’s regularly flying around Warren Grove and occasionally you’ll see A10’s. I would assume the F16’s come out of Alantic City, not sure where the A10’s are out of.
A-10’s might be these guys. 104th Fighter Squadron - Wikipedia. There used to be one in PA, but I think they’ve been disbanded.
We see the A-10s practicing at Warren Grove at Stafford shotgun shoots all the time. They are NJ-ANG 108th.
Normally, I’d be able to help you, since I live close by, and near that flight path, but I’m out in Yellowstone right now on a RV trip.

I’ve seen, well, moreso heard, a larger uptick in smaller jet activity overhead during daytime hours in Jackson. I recently mentioned this to a buddy that works at joint base Lakehurst and he mentioned they have a Dassault Rafale that they have been doing a lot of testing with lately and its a fair chance its been this i’ve heard flying.
