Go get ‘em Harmeet.

They ain’t gonna settle.

Wow! Criminal.

So, at the low end almost $2400 for a CCW. How do towns and cities get away with setting those application fees? Compared to NJ where the state sets the fees.

Democrap solution to everything is, make it cost more

Shit I just paid $35 to renew my TxLTC.

It’s criminal what some of these states are charging for a citizen to exercise a RIGHT.

$1,600 is just fine for a PTC, but requiring ID to vote is a crazy restrictive requirement!

The only difference in NJ is that our DA’s and AG’s office won’t even listen to the federal DOJ, they don’t care. It won’t be long until they simply charge $1500 every six months for a PTC, with training courses. Just like the cost of PTP permits, FPIDs, and FARS
just price out everyone but those who truly want to spend that kind of money.

Interesting that they are pursuing it under:

law enforcement misconduct (under 34 U.S.C. Section 12601). Very smart.

They are leaving the emotions out of this. If you read some of the legal responses from here, other Cali cases, and IL cases, you get the feeling that legally it’s already “assumed” that all citizens of all states have the legal right to carry. THAT is a major accomplishment already.

If a state, like NJ, chooses to have a “defacto” hand gun registry (PTP), or require a license to exercise a federal right (firearm license / FPID), that cost should be on the state. Not the firearm owners.

I can see the NICS fee holding up, passed on with a reasonable state fee as well. But it won’t be long until someone challenges the legality of carry permit fees entirely.

What if NJ charges a fee to exercise the 1st ammendment? What about charging all women a fee to vote, since that wasn’t originally in the constitution? How is this any different legally?

I have friends who have declined to get NJ PtC because of the current cost, and the verboten places restrictions. I suspect that we will see relief on the latter issue first, assuming to cost issue is ever even addressed

Im sure some have not renewed after the initial also.
